Martial Art Show
The martial arts demonstration group of Suwon City Performance Company is leading the development of Korea's 24 martial arts culture, and thus promotes one of the world's favorite physical cultures. 24 Martials Arts refers to the 24 martial arts techniques developed in Korea's 5,000-year history and illustrated in the 'Muyedobotongji' martial arts handbook, compiled in the 18th century.
Korean traditional dances express the harmony of man with nature and the relationship of man in society. On the one hand, there were the dances intended for the Royal Court to brighten the banquets by praising the power in place and magnifying the dignity of the Court. On the other hand, folkloric dance expressing peoples everyday life and the feelings of injustice in a society often oppressive.
The Pansori is a form of musical drama performed by a singer accompanied by a drum. This popular tradition, characterized by its expressive song, its stylized speech, repertory of stories and gestures, combines both the culture of the elites and that of the people.
