Formed in 2000, the GYEONGGI GAYAGEUM ENSEMBLE has, since its beginnings, been dedicated to creating a unique voice in the field of Korean traditional music by working with composers able to help them modernize the Gyeonggi minyo, in other words, popular songs from the Gyeonggi region. While the world of culture and arts is changing, the troupe has responded by offering distinct tracks of contemporary music that have contributed to the birth of a diverse and creative Korean music introducing modern and sophisticated creations created by contemporary composers.
The Gyeongnam Korean Traditional Music Orchestra HYU (休) is a professional artists company from the Gyeongsangnamdo region, which was established in 1998 with the desire to cultivate spirit and freedom. Since 2002, it has organized very popular original performances and produced experimental works every year for 15 years.
Pansori is a form of traditional Korean drama and musical art. It consists of a singer accompanied by a drum. This popular tradition, with its songs and the repertoire of stories, allows us to represent not only popular culture as well as classic stories
Traditional Korean music, called Gukak, is distinguished by the use of more than sixty traditional instruments. Some have gradually fallen into oblivion while others have remained very popular. The Deobuleo Soop group allows us to grasp its complexity.
